Cornwall Group has reinforced its commitment to Forward Glass – the Midlands’ largest independent glass manufacturer and stock distributor – with a significant investment in a new fleet of trucks, supporting its continued growth.
As part of this investment, a brand-new lorry, supplied by Alltruck and expertly converted by the glass-carrying specialists, Supertrucks, has arrived at Forward Glass, with an additional three trucks to be added to the fleet over the course of this year.
The new additions will enable Forward Glass to enhance its nationwide distribution network, improving service to its expanding customer base while supporting increased demand for its single toughened, processed glass, and stock products.
This development follows a transformative year for Forward Glass since its acquisition by Cornwall Group in December 2023. Now integrated within Cornwall Group’s network, Forward Glass has benefitted from significant investment aimed at strengthening its product offering and building operational resilience.

The new fleet is just one element of Cornwall Group’s £5m planned investment throughout its operational sites in 2025, including a £3m investment in the installation of brand new state-of-the-art Glaston Tempering Furnaces, across multiple sites. This advanced technology will increase production capacity, improve product quality, and reduce costs, reinforcing Forward Glass’ competitive edge.
With nearly 90 employees and a 100,000ft2 manufacturing facility, Forward Glass is a key player in Cornwall Group’s network. With this continued investment, Forward Glass customers can expect a more efficient and responsive supply chain, ensuring high-quality service and timely deliveries across the UK.
