Brian Baker, of Glassolutions Saint Gobain, is the new president of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), taking over from Mark Warren, of Lister Trade Frames, whose two- year tenure ended in December.
Nigel Rees, GGF group chief executive, said: “I warmly welcome Brian as new GGF president and thank Mark for all his sterling work during his presidency. It is pleasing that both Brian and Mark, as immediate past president, will continue working together in many areas of the federation.”
Taking up his new role, Brian commented: “I am delighted to take over the role of president of the federation. Mark Warren has overseen some fundamental changes in the structure and operations of the GGF following the Strategy Review, and I hope to be able to build on both his and the GGF’s success.”
Mark Warren will remain on the GGF Board for the next 12 months ‘to ensure continuity within the federation’s hierarchy’. He offered some encouraging words for his successor: “Having worked with Brian for a few years, I welcome his appointment as president. I have no doubt he is up to the challenges ahead both in the GGF and in the industry.”
Brian added: “Having been a member of the GGF Board for the past five years, I look forward to helping the GGF and its subsidiaries work towards achieving their short and long term objectives.”
