Sales of an integral blind system launched by Morley Glass & Glazing 12 months ago are reported to have tripled.
The cordless sliding integrated Venetian Uni-Blind blind system (SL20SV), which utilises ScreenLine technology, is said to have out-sold its sales forecast by three times, achieving extra sales of 6,760 units of this system in the last 12 months.
The SL20SV gives fabricators and installers the scope to provide windows and doors featuring what is described as ‘a truly user-friendly operating control system’. Only one device – a ‘cleverly designed’ magnetic slider – is used to both raise and tilt the slats.
Ian Short, managing director at Morley Glass & Glazing said: “Traditionally integrated blinds are operated using an external cord – and this remains our most popular system. However, we’ve been pleasantly surprised how popular this new cordless system has been. One of the benefits has been that the slider is so sleek and slim that it is ideal for sliding and bi-fold doors. Another plus is the fact that like all our integral blind systems, the SL20SV is available with just 10 day lead times from any Friday.”
The SL20SV sliding system, which can be used in any double glazed window or door, is available in 10 different colours, including the exclusive anthracite grey (S159) from Morley Glass. The integral blinds are assembled and permanently sealed within the double glazing cavity which comes with a warm edge spacer bar as standard to offer optimum thermal insulation. Once sealed in this totally dust-free environment, the blinds require no cleaning, always appear new and are protected from damage.
The SL20SV’s external magnetic slider is also treated with the patented Sanitized anti-bacterial finish, which provides a long-lasting protective function, ideal for domestic and commercial applications.
