Garden room village

With hybrid working increasingly becoming the norm, consumers are looking at ways in which to find a more permanent place to work, separate to the main fabric of the house. But the new village at Carr Gate Garden Centre, near junction 41 of the M1 in West Yorkshire, takes it a step further with 13 garden rooms on display. The site features a home office, gym, bar, outdoor kitchen, artist’s studio, mini hairdressing salon and a children’s playroom.

Making Your Space is a trade-only manufacturer of garden rooms with design partners in key areas of the UK. Its team is looking to scale the business by using a marketing support programme and showroom materials that include a mini pod, brochures and flyers. The company’s garden room designer and configurator can be used to design a bespoke room and cost it. Full office back end functionality, with costings and margins, has been developed by Business Micros and The Consultancy.

The business’ premium garden rooms can be installed in as little as two days prior to final trades including plastering and electrical work. The garden room market is reportedly set for strong growth.

Ryan Crossley, director of Making Your Space, said: “This new garden room village shows a wide variety of applications from office to living space, gym or even small business. We’re trade-only and actively looking for new design partners across the UK with the promise of a premium, well-thought-out product solution supported by a strong marketing programme. You don’t necessarily even need a showsite to exploit the considerable opportunities that this emerging market sector presents.”
