Hardware supplier, Winkhaus UK, has appointed Justin Harris as managing director, following the upcoming retirement of long-serving incumbent, James Hurst, whilst Anita Brinkworth has been appointed as financial director.
Anita is in her 20th year at Winkhaus and brings a wealth of financial experience, having worked in all areas of accountancy for the company, most recently as overall financial controller. “I am very happy to take up this role and look forward to ensuring that our financial practices continue to compliment the needs of our growing business,” commented Anita.
Having spent 18 years at Winkhaus, Justin took over as commercial director in 2013, and has shaped a sales strategy that has seen the company grow by 34% in that time. His thorough strategic knowledge of the business and market will ensure continuity and further strengthen the company’s position as a market leader and innovator of hardware solutions.
“I’m looking forward to leading Winkhaus through the next stage of development,” said Justin. “Over the past 20 years, James has implemented great structures and systems and has left us fantastic foundations to further build on. I want us to continue the tradition of stability, constant improvement, and product innovation that make Winkhaus so unique. That means continuing to deliver great customer service, diversify our product portfolio, while at the same time promoting our already hugely successful solutions like the AV2 Family, and our recently launched FireFrame – the fire door solution that’s helping our clients achieve compliance with all the new regulations.”
Justin has brought about other changes within Winkhaus’ senior management. Mike Rushen has become national sales manager, after 11 years with the company, first as a project manager, and more recently as commercial manager. One of Mike’s first tasks in his new role is to recruit two new regional project managers for the South East, and the North East regions. Mike will also be responsible for managing the sales team.
David Joseph, an experienced project manager since 2000, and member of both the Master Locksmiths Association and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers, has also been promoted to architectural contracts manager and will continue to develop Winkhaus’ growing reputation in the architectural and veneered timber fire door market.
