Rapid PVC-U Systems has appointed Simon Bingham as its new commercial director. The move follows the Doncaster-based company’s acquisition by Modular Group Investments (MGI).
Rapid supplies into the new-build sector. With 30 years’ experience in the window industry, specifically in new-build, Simon’s focus at Rapid will be to increase sales in the sector, and to supply major housebuilders.
“Rapid is the perfect supplier for the new-build market, as we understand our customers’ needs and provide a complete package,” explained Simon. “This includes expert technical advice, money-saving ideas, help with design, on-time and in-full supply and install, and excellent aftercare.
“From day one, I could see that there was an excellent team and hugely impressive manufacturing capabilities in place. These manufacturing capabilities are one of the reasons that MGI has invested in the 12-year-old company, which followed on from last year’s purchase of 3,000-frames-per-week fabricator Euramax Solutions.
“MGI is a fast growing and innovative group of businesses, with the goal of making a positive contribution with the UK offsite and modular manufacturing sectors, while recognising the scale and opportunities to also supply new-build and the traditional construction sectors. Thanks to MGI and its investment, the opportunity to progress the business is huge, particularly on the modular side,” added Simon. “It will also allow Rapid to expand and develop to better serve the needs of our customers. I’m looking forward to a bright future together.”
Nick Cowley, managing director of the MGI Group, said: “We are delighted to have added Rapid to our group, and it’s brilliant to welcome Simon to the Rapid team. His experience will be a huge asset in helping the company expand.”
