Specialist aluminium fabricator, CDW Systems, has announced a new team of directors including: Mike Davis as operations director, Martin Rowe as sales office director, Richard Smith as technical director, Angela Phillips as finance director and Alan Little as production director, combining to total more than 116 years’ industry experience between them.
All the new appointments have worked at CDW Systems previously, and are said to have a ‘firm knowledge and understanding’ of the business and products.
Mike Davis, who first entered the industry in 1980, has 10 years’ service to his name at CDW and has also worked for extrusion, systems and fabrication companies. He also took a six-year sabbatical to work at Cheltenham Town Football Club as First Team assistant manager throughout the club’s rise from non-league into The Football League.
Angela Phillips has been at CDW for three years and previously spent 10 years working for another company in the industry, while Alan Little joined the specialist aluminium manufacturer 10 years ago and has spent a total of 23 years in the aluminium sector, working in fabrication.
Richard Smith, who first started working in the glazing industry in 1984, joining the aluminium sector in 1987, is in his 13th year at CDW.
Martin Rowe, who has worked in the aluminium sector for 23 years, commented: “We will continue to support existing customers but we are also keen to bring on board new customers who are looking for an experienced aluminium supplier to help them take advantage of this market.”
CDW says it has made ‘significant investments’ over the past year to improve efficiency across the business, including the introduction of a second shift, increasing production to 16 hours a day ‘to meet demand and bring lead times down’.

CDW Systems manufactures a range of aluminium products including windows, doors, curtain walling and shop fronts, for domestic and commercial projects across the UK.
