Dominick Sandford has been promoted to managing director of Manutan’s Traders Division businesses, IronmongeryDirect and ElectricalDirect. Having worked at the company for over five years, Dominick was judged as well positioned to drive the two businesses forward and to continue its ‘trusted to deliver’ ethos. The appointment followed the current managing director, Marco Verdonkschot’s, promotion to chief operating officer for the Manutan Group, where he will oversee the operations of all companies within the Manutan family, including IronmongeryDirect and ElectricalDirect.
Dominick brings over 20 years’ experience in product and category management, trading, supply chain, sales and marketing to the role, as well as a track record of leading teams to deliver sales growth and strategy. Since joining IronmongeryDirect in 2016, Dominick has progressed through the business to several roles, most recently as director and head of supply chain, merchandising and marketing.
On his new role, Dominick said: “I am extremely honoured to receive this promotion and the opportunity to build on the very solid foundations that Marco has put in place over the last two years.
