Lars Wismer is soon to lead the team behind Glasstec, an international trade fair for the glass sector. Lars, 59, is expected to take up the role on 1 December 2022.
As director, Lars will be responsible not only for not only Glasstec and the international Glass Technologies portfolio (which includes Glasspex and Glasspro trade fairs for the Indian market) but also A+A, an international trade fair for the safety, security and workplace health sectors. Having worked as a senior project manager for 16 years, Lars knows the events business Messe Düsseldorf very well. He also has extensive experience in the management and marketing of large, international events. Most recently he was in charge of D.Sports events.
He said: “I look forward to being back on board at Messe Düsseldorf again and to working with a strong team to further expand the position of the trade fairs and the international portfolios.” The next Glasstec is set to be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in Germany from 22 to 25 October 2024.
