Leaders of Emplas have strengthened the fabricator’s sales team by appointing two highly experienced regional sales managers: Kevin Kenny and Rob Price.
Kevin picks up the brief for northern England, having previously held business development and sales management roles with Stevenswood, Camden Group, Frameline and Total Glass. He said: “I’m thrilled to have joined Emplas’ award-winning team.
“It’s built a reputation for quality and service through continued investment and a pioneering approach to the way a modern window should be marketed, manufactured and supplied. I’m delighted to be joining at a pivotal time and look forward to supporting Emplas’ future growth and working in partnership with existing and future customers.”
Rob has stepped into a corresponding role as Emplas’ regional sales manager for the south east of England. He joined Emplas from Eurocell, having previously held sales and business development roles at the Customade Group, Origin and Synseal.
He said: “It’s the attention to detail and the little things that add up to a great trade offer from Emplas. Own-branded tape – it’s a small thing but a really important benefit to Emplas customers because it reinforces their brand and also means that every window we supply is quality checked, including behind the tape, before its dispatched so there are no nasty surprises on site for fitters.
“With the additional investment that’s coming down the line, it’s a very exciting time to come on board.”
As part of Emplas’ continuous improvement programme, the business’ leaders introduced real-time order tracking, including two-hour delivery slots and 30-minute push notifications, in June. The team has also invested significantly in product quality, through increased visibility of its manufacturing processes and the introduction of new quality controls and training programmes.
Emplas was the first window and door fabricator to launch the Secured by Design and IASME-accredited Avantis Intellect window lock, which as well as delivering advanced levels of security and high tolerances, also ‘Works with Kubu’.
With multi-million investment planned for the second half of 2023, Jody Vincent, sales director, said that Emplas was delivering a step change in expectations of service in the window and door industry. “The work that the team in the factory are doing to understand where things can go wrong and remove the risks of that happening has delivered a further step change in quality in the last six months,” he explained.
“With the innovations in service, we have a highly compelling offer. Rob and Kevin bring extensive industry experience with them but most importantly a commitment and drive to help our customers grow,” Jody concluded. For more information about Emplas, visit the fabricator’s website.
