Independent window and door hardware distributor, Carl F Groupco, has expanded its team of regional sales managers, appointing Matt Smith to serve the company’s north west region of fabricator partners. As he brings more than 18 years of industry experience to the role, including window and door fabrication, production and purchasing management, it is hoped that Matt’s skills will enable him to best advise Carl F Groupco’s customers.
Matt sourced hardware for a large fabricator in his previous role, and is undertaking a QCF level three in supply chain operations. He said: “I’ve been a customer of Carl F Groupco for many years, so I knew I was moving to a company that prioritised product quality and leading brands, but most of all outstanding customer service and technical support.
“Having worked in fabrication, I understand the challenges our customers face and what they need: ease of fabrication and installation, price, product quality and the support required when it’s time to make a change. I’m looking forward to working with my customers, supporting them with their purchasing and technical requirements, and developing the region.”
Welcoming Matt to the role, John King, Carl F Groupco’s sales director added: “Matt was the ideal candidate for this role. His industry experience allows him to expertly advise our customers, whether it be with new product requirements, technical issues or supply enquiries. Matt joins a team of five regional sales managers serving the UK and Ireland, headed by John. The external team work alongside internal sales and customer service counterparts, to guarantee smooth account management and hardware supply.
