Andy Jones has stepped down as group managing director for Victorian Sliders, to pursue new opportunities. Andy Jones has been involved in the glass and glazing industry for over 30 years and has been a key part of UK and European growth for industry giants including Edgetech, where he drove the agenda for warm edge technology.
Andy said: “Since my appointment as Group MD in 2019, we have embarked on an investment strategy that has enabled us to scale the business rapidly. We have seen a real transformation during that time and we’re on track for 70% growth. However, the nature of the role and location requires a regular 500-mile round trip, so it is time for me to explore new challenges and opportunities. I leave the business in great shape and on a rapid growth trajectory.”
Victorian Sliders is a vertically integrated PVC-U sash manufacturer with in-house extrusion, glass processing, manufacturing and recycling, operating from a state-of-the-art 250,000ft² site in south Wales. It has major distribution hubs across the UK and Ireland.
The business’ founder, Scot Starkey, said: “Andy has brought a great deal of management expertise to the business and been instrumental in our recent growth. We would like to thank him for his contribution to our company and we wish him well as he pursues new opportunities.”
