Window Supply Company has invested in a 5,200ft² warehouse and office space just south of Edinburgh, creating an enhanced trade counter to support a reportedly expanding customer base. The facility is in Dryden Vale, in the Bilston Glen Industrial Estate, and provides excellent transport links with the city bypass, connecting the A1, M8 and M9. This ensures that the trade counter is easily accessible.
The modern business unit, located in units one and two of Dryden Vale, is more than double the size of the previous unit occupied at number six, with the additional space allowing for the continuing rise in market demand for windows and doors. The branch will also soon stock Liniar trims that aim to ‘perfectly’ match the Liniar window system that the company currently manufactures.
The new unit boasts prominent frontage for maximum visibility, more customer parking and easily accommodates the free skip service that WSC offers trade customers, saving customers time and money on skip hire. Craig Stewart, branch manager, said: “The progress we have made in two years is incredible. Our customer base has more than tripled since reopening after the first lockdown, and the new location will allow us to continually meet customer demand. The relocation within Bilston Glen Industrial Estate is perfect for picking up passing trade and the ideal place to best service our Edinburgh and surrounding areas customers.”
Fiona Rafferty, head of sales, added: “The Loanhead branch is an important location for the business. Loanhead was the first of our trade counters to open back in August 2019 and has enjoyed phenomenal growth since. The move represents another big step forward in optimising the company’s footprint to best service our customers.”
