Vertik-Al, a UK-based independent powder coater, is celebrating 25 years as a Qualicoat approved coating applicator after passing its latest third-party inspection.
The Birmingham-based business was awarded the quality label in January proving conformity with Qualicoat 2024 specifications. It is also approved to offer Qualicoat Seaside class powder coating, suitable for exposed sites.
A statement said that Vertik-Al was the first Qualicoat UK and Ireland licensed applicator in 1999. The company has helped set the standard for other coating applicators and has raised awareness of the quality label amongst specifiers operating in a wide range of industries, it noted.
The Qualicoat specification is regularly updated following evidence-based research and generally exceeds the BS EN 12206 specification for powder coating. Therefore, specifiers and clients are assured of powder coating best practice when they opt to work with an approved applicator, it cited.

Vertik-Al holds the GSB International Master Seal for Approved Coater Aluminium. The company is also a member of Aluminium Federation (ALFED) and Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB).
