Unique Window Systems has opened a new fabrication centre for its PVC-U product lines.
The new 65,000ft2 PVC-U facility is located adjacent to Unique’s distribution centre, trade counter, showroom and current PVC-U, aluminium and coating facilities in Leicester.
Specific purchases include two new Schirmer cutting and machining centres and a new Urban SV 800 CNC corner cleaner.
The investment into the new PVC-U facility and the fabrication equipment it contains will enable Unique to continue offering customers consistently high quality products and on short lead times as the business grows, according to a company statement.
It has increased the fabricator’s PVC-U production capacity by over 5,000 frames a week, it cited.
The new facility also houses a Visitor Experience Centre. This allows the company’s visitors to view the new fabrication line in operation from an elevated position and to browse displays of the fabricator’s PVC-U products.
