The Milwood Group is celebrating the successes of its new training academy as it reaches 50 graduates – just three months after opening.
Based at the Kent-firm’s distribution centre in Leicestershire, the training academy is designed to allow newly-appointed trade partners and their installation teams to access product and installation training direct from the manufacturer. The free service is said to cover Milwood’s complete range of aluminium verandas, canopies, carports and glass rooms.
“Whilst we design our product range to be as simple as possible to install, for those who are new to the market it can of course be daunting. That’s where our training academy comes in and it’s fantastic to see it’s been such a resounding success,” commented Mark Wood, managing director of the Milwood Group.
“The new academy has become an integral part of our onboarding process for new trade partners and compulsory for customers to complete before they receive their first order. Not only does this ensure our high standards are kept but installers are in the best possible position to confidently enter this growing market. Plus, it means installers can save both time and money on site thanks to experience with every Milwood system.
“Extending our offering and maximising our service is all part of our commitment to do everything we can for our customers to help them confidently enter and win new business in the outdoor living market,” continued Mark. “The academy alone has been more than a £40,000 investment but it’s been a worthwhile endeavour as it has allowed us to create the perfect platform to prepare our customers to successfully sell and install our premium aluminium verandas.”
