National timber staircase and windows suppliers, StairBox and Wooden Windows, has announced a 30,000ft² extension.
The two sister companies, who combined employ over 100 workers, say they have continued to grow over the past three years, meaning more space was required to increase efficiency, delivery and output.
The new space will now reportedly be used for assembly, finishing and quality control meaning there will be more room in the original building to house three new CNC machines. This expansion also means several new staff members will be recruited. Together, StairBox and Wooden Windows are said to be looking to recruit up to 20 new employees in the next 12 months.
Alex Hancock, director of StairBox, said: “We have had a fantastic couple of years and the businesses are going from strength to strength which we believe is due to the quality of our service and products.”
Mark Winter, director of Wooden Windows, added: “This is an incredibly exciting time for both companies. We will now be able to increase our output by 25% which will complement the growing demand. It also means we will be able to create several new jobs and add to our fantastic workforce.”
