Specialist commercial installer The Window Company (Contracts) has become the first installation only company to be invited to join the Association of Composite Door Manufacturers (ACDM) as an affiliate member.
The ACDM says it is broadening membership to include the entire composite doorset supply chain from component supply to installation, as it aims to engage with more of those involved in the market. This is in line with its stated aim of promoting the highest levels of product and service standards and giving specifiers and end users confidence not only in the safety and security of the product they are buying, but in the quality of the installation as well.
The Window Company (Contracts) will now have access to the very latest updates on certification and standard compliance, particularly in relation to the supply and installation of composite fire doors.
It also hopes to be able to contribute from an installer’s perspective on many of the issues surrounding remedial work and replacement of legacy doorsets in the social housing and HMO sector.
Chairman, David Thornton, explained: “We are at the sharp end of the sector, talking to housing providers every day who are looking for advice on whether they need to replace or upgrade their fire doors and what with. By joining the ACDM, we’ll have access to the very latest information to pass on and we’ll also be able to report our experiences and hopefully contribute to the ongoing conversation.”
Russell Day, CEO of the ACDM, added: “We’re very pleased to welcome The Window Company (Contracts) on board. The company stands out as an installer with the right customer service attitude. It has ensured that all employees are trained and certified to the required standard to ensure doorsets are correctly installed and its after sales service is second to none.”
The ACDM adds that it will be promoting installer membership more widely in 2021 as it launches a campaign to encourage specifiers to choose ACDM members for the supply and installation of doors and doorsets.
