The next People in Glazing Society (Pigs) networking event – for businesspeople within the glass industry – is due to take place in Manchester on 17 March. The first of five get togethers in this year’s series, the event will kick off at Revolucion de Cuba bar, on Peter Street.
“The People in Glazing Society, or Pigs for short, gives us the ideal opportunity to catch up with industry friends as well as meet new people,” said Sarah Ball, director of Balls2 Marketing and organiser of Pigs events. “We all share a passion for this fantastic industry that we’re a part of, and it’s certainly never boar-ing!
“Our Birmingham event in November last year was the busiest one yet, showing how the popularity just keeps growing and growing. We expect it to be even Pig-ger this year.”
As well as the Manchester event on 17 March, Pigs will also take place at the Fit Show exhibition on 11 May, in Bristol for the first time on 23 June, in Birmingham on 29 September, and will wrap up in Las Vegas on 19 October, in conjunction with Glass Build America. Sarah added: “These events are very important for the industry – now more than ever, after the last two years.
“As well as planning the events, sending out regular email updates and sharing news on social media, the team at Balls2 Marketing also coordinates sponsorship money. Every single penny goes towards food and drink so that attendees can ‘swine and dine’.
