Harpenden Windows has made a strong start as a new Residence Collection manufacturer, with strong sales coming in through its retail business in the first six months. The company has also experienced a significant jump in margins, thanks to this move to higher end, branded window and door systems.
The family-run business has a history dating back over 30 years, and now an increasing number of its PVC-U window sales are said to be made with products from the Residence Collection, namely R2, R7 and R9. According to Harpenden, around 90% of sales are through recommendation, a ‘testament’ to the way in which they run their business and generate ‘outstanding levels of customer satisfaction’.
The Residence Collection says it is increasingly experiencing companies at the retail end looking for better products with strong marketing and brand credentials. Aaron Booth, director of Harpenden, said: “The Residence Collection is unique in terms of product design and appearance. The marketing is true consumer end with strong branding across the point of sale materials, printed literature and we even have our own dedicated landing page on The Residence Collection website.”
Sarah Hitchings, sales and marketing director of The Residence Collection, concluded: “Companies such as Harpenden Windows are a perfect example of a local and regional manufacturer looking to put margin back into their business. With strong retail sales they’re also at the sharp end and value everything that we do for customers to help them close more sales.”
