Manufacturer Eurocell has reported strong sales across the year, reflecting continued high levels of trade and consumer demand. Sales of both extruded profiles and building plastics have grown over the past 12 months, the company’s representative said, as the repair, maintenance and improvement market has boomed, and house building and consumer-driven outdoor living trends have continued to fuel demand for the company’s products.
In addition to strong sales growth, the company also reports that it received the London Stock Exchange’s Green Economy Mark, which is awarded to companies that derive more than 50% of their revenues from environmental solutions. The mark reflects contributions to the global green economy.
The completion of the company’s new, state-of-the-art warehouse in Alfreton, is another milestone for the business. Central to increasing capacity, the facility is key to delivering further improvements in operational efficiencies, according to Eurocell, and is set to help expand manufacturing extrusion capacity. Mark Kelly, Eurocell’s CEO, said: “The positive sales trends for profiles and building plastics have continued through the year, which has reflected good underlying demand in our markets.
“We are taking effective action to mitigate ongoing cost inflation and current supply chain pressures. As a result, we are on track to deliver profit before tax for the full year, in line with market expectations.
“It is also welcome to see that our long-term commitment to creating sustainable product solutions has been recognised with the prestigious London Stock Exchange Green Economy Award. It is further evidence that we continue to lead our sector when it comes to understanding and delivering on our environmental responsibilities.
“Finally, the successful opening of our expanded warehouse and manufacturing facility is great news for our nationwide network of fabricators and installers. We are now even better placed to meet market demands and work with the trade to support them as they secure enhanced business building opportunities.”
