SafeGuard’s Dan Mason and Rob Page have climbed over 5,895m to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, for Kelly’s Heroes, raising £5,550.

Dan said: “Suicide remains a shocking statistic, with around 7,000 people in the UK taking their own life each year, and it’s a stark reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. Training for Kilimanjaro has been no walk in the park – unless that park happens to be on a steep incline and 15 miles long. But having raised £5,550 and counting, as team SafeGuard it makes it all worthwhile.”

Rob added: “The generosity and encouragement from everyone back home has been overwhelming. We couldn’t have done this without knowing so many people were rooting for us. It pushed us on when things got tough.

“We had moments where our legs were burning, and the air felt too thin to breathe, but we reminded each other why we were doing this, and it was a great feeling to finally reach the top, supported by SafeGuard Glass and Glazing.”

Nick Welsh, managing director at Safeguard Glass and Glazing, said: “We’re incredibly proud of Dan and Rob for their remarkable achievement in climbing Kilimanjaro. Their determination and commitment mirror the values we hold at Safeguard—pushing boundaries and facing challenges head-on. They’ve impressed us all with their physical endurance and teamwork, which got them to the summit. Congratulations, Dan and Rob.”

Dan and Rob said they would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported their climb.
