The UPVC window manufacturer Rehau has announced a strategic partnership with world-leading hardware brand, Yale. The new initiative means that window fabricators and installers will be able to source high-quality Rehau profiles that are integrated with fully approved and tested Yale hardware and furniture. According to Rehau, this is a market-first partnership, uniting two well-established and trusted brands of the fenestration industry.
The partnership is formed on the basis that the two companies have shared values and extensive technical expertise across their businesses, with over 200 combined years’ experience. David Pridmore, Yale’s key account manager, said: “Our partnership with Rehau is a great opportunity for fabricators to single-source both their profile and hardware from a trusted source.
“Yale and Rehau are two of the leading names in fenestration. Consumers know and trust our brands. The work in product development and testing we have completed with Rehau will allow fabricators to seamlessly transition on to Yale hardware without the additional expense of testing. We are extremely excited to be able to offer fabricators world class products with world class service as a result of our new partnership with Rehau.”
The first part of 2022 will see Rehau and Yale welcome fabricators on board the initiative, followed by installer and consumer engagement. Russell Hand, Rehau Windows’ head of technical and product management, said: “This is an exciting announcement, and we are looking forward to working in partnership with Yale. In joining forces, we are aiming to add reassurance throughout the supply chain.
“Specifically, we will be able to match our premium profiles with equally premium ancillary products. Ultimately, Rehau will be offering a secure partnership, the fabricator will be supplying a secure package, and the installer will be providing a secure product to the consumer.”
Both companies are proud to manufacture in the UK, which can facilitate shorter lead times amid high market demand. The range will include locks, cylinders, shoot bolts, hinges, handles and letterplates. Exclusive to Rehau, the Lockmaster 21 offers the ability to cover a wide range of door sizes.
Ultimately, the profile manufacturer aims to create economies of scale for customers through one sourcing partnership. This is evident via Rehau and Yale’s inclusive PAS24 testing, which can save fabricators up to £1,000 by cascading the test results, as well as a combined comprehensive guarantee, which means less replacement over the product’s lifetime. Customers will also be able to draw on a unified technical team, with more combined knowledge on the complete window system.
