The twin trade fair event comprising Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk has reported a record number of visitors in 2016. The event, held between 16 and 19 March, brought 110,581 experts from the wood and window industries to Nuremberg, compared to 108,967 on the previous occasion in 2014.
The second day of the event alone saw a record 38,568 visitors flow through the halls – a figure never previously achieved by the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg in a single day.
The venue, which was fully booked for the event, hosted a total of 1,296 exhibitors, about two-thirds of which were reportedly from outside of Germany.
796 of there exhibitors, from 37 countries, were showing off the latest windows, door and façade innovations at Fensterbau Frontale.
Elke Harreiß, director of Fensterbau Frontale, said: “The atmosphere in the halls was excellent. The exhibitors were full of praise for the international nature of the public, their level of professionalism and their willingness to invest, while the visitors were very happy with the products on display.
“We’re proud of the fact that this combined trade fair event has again proved a success.”
After Germany, the countries with the greatest number of exhibitors at Fensterbau Frontale were Italy, Poland and Turkey. Visitors to Fensterbau Frontale comprised window and exterior contractors, cabinet-makers, architects and the retail trade, all of whom had the opportunity to learn about the latest profile systems, hardware, structural elements, the use of glass in architecture, fitting technology, safety and shade technology, as well as machinery and plant.
The next combined Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk trade fair will be held at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, 21-24 March 2018.
