Quickslide was announced as winner of the National Fenestration Awards’ Vertical Sliding Window Company category on 2 November.
The NFA’s Winners Week commenced on Monday 29 October. The Yorkshire-based firm was also awarded second place in the Sliding Patio Door Company category behind contemporary-style winner, Eurocell.
Chairman, Adrian Barraclough, believes that the aesthetic qualities of windows are just as important as their practical uses, and ‘should be considered for alteration or modernisation with the same frequency as carpets or curtains’.
He said: “Winning a category that Quickslide feels so passionate about is fantastic, and we are indebted to the designers and engineers who make our products as beautifully functional and visually pleasing as they are. You often wonder how your industry colleagues see you from the outside, so to take these accolades back to the team is a real pat on the back.
“Our vertical sliding units are one of our leading products, so it feels deserving that a quality product, which can be altered to suit so many homes, is represented by a quality award.”
