Over 100 People in Glazing (PIGS) are said to have attended the latest industry networking event in London, at a new venue – The Warwick – in Soho.
“Old faces and new checked into The Warwick for another successful evening. The venue was an absolute triumph,” said organiser Sarah Ball. “We had a separate room downstairs and it filled up quickly after kick-off at 5pm. Kick-off is an appropriate term, because London PIGS was on the same day as the first game in the World Cup. Not that it affected the number of people joining for the evening, we were really impressed with the turnout.”
Leah Christian from UK Construction week was a first timer at PIGS London. “I loved it. I’ve never experienced anything like it for a corporate event,” Leah said. “It’s so laid back and people were genuinely friendly. I’m definitely coming to more!”
“The reason the format works so well is because we keep it low key,” continued Sarah. “There are no badges or banners, just a room full of people from the glazing industry with a drink in their hand chatting to friends.
“We couldn’t do any of this without our amazing sponsors. Every penny of the sponsorship money goes behind the bar, so PIGS can get a free drink or two, and some nibbles.”
There are two more PIGS events in 2018. Glasgow on 6 September and Birmingham on 9 November. To become a sponsor contact Sarah on: 07540 049655 or email at: sarah@balls2marketing.co.uk.
