Chigwell Window Centre, the Essex based trade supplier of PVC-U and aluminium windows and doors, has invested in a new 36,000ft2 factory in Basildon, tripling its production capacity.
Chigwell Window Centre includes 6 Day Doors, a specialist supplier of aluminium bi-folds and patios, which will also be operating from the same location.
Until the new factory officially opens in March, the company says it is manufacturing its products 24 hours a day to keep up with demand. It also plans to buy in new machinery and new vehicles, and to hire more staff.
Chigwell Window Centre supplies aluminium, PVC-U, casement, flush sash, and sliding sash windows, bi-fold, composite, patio and French doors, as well as conservatories and extensions.
It also offers a range of trade double glazing products from Aluplast, QuickSlide, and Smart Architectural Aluminium.
6 Day Doors, which was founded early in 2020, offers the Ezifold bi-fold door and the Cortizo Cor Vision Plus slimline patio door. With sashes up to 4m in width or height, this sliding system is said to be especially suitable for large dimensions, covering openings with a glass surface of 94% and a visible section of just 25mm. It also comes with the possibility of a motorised opening for weights up to 700kg, and manual opening for up to 400kg.
Chigwell Window Centre managing director, Sunny Singh, commented: “We’re delighted that 6 Day Doors is already doing so well considering the current economic climate, and with a new factory on the cards, we’re certain that both 6 Day Doors and Chigwell Window Centre will be able to continue to deliver high quality products that our customers expect.”
