Morley Glass supports charity Easter Egg campaign

The Morley Glass team has made an ‘egg-stra’ special effort to collect hundreds of Easter eggs for a campaign organised by Yorkshire Children’s Charity to ensure disadvantaged children do not miss out on an Easter chocolate treat.

In addition to the personal Easter egg donations that staff at the integral blinds manufacturer have been making, the company has been encouraging customers, suppliers and industry associates to get involved in the campaign. And their efforts have yielded amazing results, with over 4,000 Easter eggs collected overall.

All the Easter eggs will be distributed by Yorkshire Children’s Charity to children living in some of the region’s most disadvantaged communities who may otherwise not be receiving one this year. Their goal is to provide an Easter egg for every child in each of Yorkshire Children’s Charity’s partner schools, with a collection target of 11,000 eggs.

Morley Glass has once again boosted its collection by partnering with local ice hockey team Leeds Knights, a club which it has been proud to sponsor for several years, to encourage its supporters to donate Easter eggs. Leeds Knights fans have contributed 436 Easter eggs alone by donating at recent National League games – in return they have been entered into a draw to win prizes including a season ticket for the 2025-26 season.

Charlotte Farrington, CEO and founder of Yorkshire Children’s Charity, comments: “While we primarily focus our energy and resources on funding essential items, we understand how important it is for children to feel included in other celebrations throughout the year. An Easter egg is something many children take for granted, but for families living in destitution this is just yet another luxury that feels out of reach.

“Our Easter appeal is only made possible through the kindness and dedication of our supporters. Thanks to Morley Glass’ remarkable generosity, Easter eggs have been delivered to primary schools across Yorkshire, spreading thousands of smiles.”

Ian Short, managing director at Morley Glass adds: “Thank you to everyone who has got involved in supporting the Yorkshire Children’s Charity Easter Egg Campaign this year. It is a fantastic cause which helps to bring a little bit of joy to children living in some very challenging circumstances, and that’s why we are delighted to be able to help.”

Morley Glass has proudly supported Yorkshire Children’s Charity since the charity launched in 2022 by providing a mix of financial and hands-on assistance. The charity works to transform childhoods to make things better for the thousands of disadvantaged children living in the region, to make sure no child or young person is left behind due to ill health, disability, or financial circumstance.
