Nathan McCarter Joinery, a joinery business specialising in timber windows and doors, scooped Fensa’s Installation of the Year 2020 award, beating-off stiff competition from more than 500,000 other installations. All installations carried out by Fensa-approved installers are automatically entered into the annual Installation of the Year competition. But, to make the final shortlist, a project must receive five stars from both the homeowner and Fensa’s assessor. The win was announced as part of Glass and Glazing Products magazine‘s first-ever Installer Awards scheme, which took place online, on 18 March 2021.
Chris Beedel, Fensa’s head of membership, said: “The standard of entries this year has been exceptionally high during challenging circumstances for our Fensa-approved installers. Operating during the Covid-19 pandemic, they have navigated lockdown uncertainty, unprecedented consumer demand and supply instability to deliver some amazing projects.
“The winning entry, from Nathan McCarter Joinery, was truly outstanding and it exemplifies the talent and professionalism that exists among our approved installers. We’d like to congratulate the company on this fantastic achievement.”
Nathan McCarter, founder and owner of Nathan McCarter Joinery, said: “As a family-run business, we were proud and excited to have been shortlisted for the award. But to hear the announcement and discover we had won has left us lost for words. Everything we do goes into giving our customers the best service we can, from start to finish, to create beautiful, handcrafted products they can enjoy for generations to come. But we couldn’t have done it on our own and we would like to thank our amazing team for their hard work and dedication; the endless support of our families and, of course, all of our customers.”
