The TV and radio presenter Jenny Powell is to present the glittering glass trophies at this year’s Installer Awards, which takes place on 10 March and is brought to you by Glass and Glazing Products (GGP) magazine. “It will be fantastic to have Jenny bring her unique brand of glamour and fun to our presentation ceremony in just over five weeks’ time,” said Charissa King, GGP‘s editor.
Attendees of GGP‘s Installer Awards may remember watching Jenny on a range of TV programmes, including Top of the Pops, To Buy or Not to Buy and Channel 4’s Brass Eye. She was a contestant on Channel 4’s Celebrity Come Dine with Me and BBC One’s Celebrity Masterchef. In 2012 and 2013, she featured in ITV2’s Lemon La Vida Loca. Four years later, she co-hosted the new ITV1 game show, BigHeads, alongside Jason Manford and Kriss Akabussi.

Jenny’s TV career began in the 80s, when she was selected to present the popular BBC cult music programme, No Limits. This month marks the 35th anniversary of her TV debut. After No Limits, Jenny moved to presenting Saturday morning television for children, before becoming a presenter of Top of the Pops, the hostess on ITV’s version of Wheel of Fortune, and a regular Loose Women panellist. She currently hosts the Weekend Breakfast Show on Greatest Hits Radio, and began hosted her own podcast, Hot Mess Mums, in 2020. Jenny has interviewed Hollywood stars including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, and is due to host an event with Mel Gibson later this year.
Born in Essex, Jenny’s family originates from South Africa. She attended London’s Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
