Installsure, the specialised insurance provider of insurance backed guarantee (IBG) schemes for the Glass & Glazing Federation has strengthened its existing IBG, to bring cost and administrative benefits to its 2,500+ strong network of window, door and conservatory installers across the UK.
Installsure has taken this opportunity to review its existing IBG structure and make changes in line with its overall policy of continuous improvement. As a result, the organisation has agreed to work with QANW, and their underwriter Hadron, for all IBGs going forward from April onwards.
“We’re really pleased that Installsure can work more closely with QANW for the benefit of installers and homeowners alike. We have worked with them for several years already with great success and when the opportunity arose to strengthen that relationship, it was an obvious decision to make,” said Natalie Little, Chair of the Installsure Board.
“On an operational level, installers will not notice any difference, nor do they need to make any changes themselves,” added Natalie. “Pleasingly, many installers will also see lower costs due to changes in the pricing structure.”
“We have had a long-standing relationship with Installsure and have historically looked after a small proportion of its members. We are pleased that Installsure have recognised the value that QANW brings from a service delivery perspective and that we are also uniquely placed to now provide all members with a market leading policy wording from a UK insurer with a financial strength rating of A- “excellent”, said Gemma Swankie, the QANW Client Development Director.
Installsure customers are invited to continue registering installations as normal and all policies taken out before, during and after the transition phase will not be affected in any way.
