Hurst Doors support Glazing Summit 2022

Hurst Doors is to sponsor this year’s Glazing Summit. This year is the first time the PVC-U door panel, composite and fire door manufacturer has sponsored the event, which is due to take place on Tuesday 18 October at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham.

Mark Atkinson, Hurst’s sales director, explained: “We haven’t been involved with the Glazing Summit for the past two years as it has very much been a case of negotiating the day-to-day challenges presented to the business by the pandemic. However we have observed how the event has grown in popularity over that time and how it has had a positive influence and wanted to take an active part by showing our support this year.

“Whilst easing, the industry continues to face supply chain issue’s. Add to that increasing prices and the squeeze on household incomes and these are set to impact on orders and business over the next 12 months.

“The Glazing Summit provides a great opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss industry topics and to get insight into the actions other business leaders are taking to tackle these challenges.” Mark went on to explain that the summit is also an opportunity to discover how business leaders plan to support customers “not only today but also in the future”.

“We will also be interested to hear views on the new Approved Document L and Q legislation the industry is dealing with, as well as understanding how topics such as sustainability and climate change are going to impact on business. The event promises to be a thought-provoking day and we’re very much looking forward to the debates and discussions and supporting the event.”

Organisers are expecting more than 400 leaders from across the industry to attend. Andrew Scott, the summit’s founder, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hurst on board as one of the UK’s largest door manufacturers for the last 25-plus years.” For sponsorship opportunities and tickets, visitglazingsummit.co.uk, call 01934 808 293 or email hello@glazingsummit.co.uk.
