More than 60 people are reported to have attended the recent People in Glazing (PIGS) event in Glasgow, with organiser, Balls2 Marketing, claiming that it was one of the ‘most memorable PIGS parties ever’. “Our new venue, the Penthouse at Saint Judes was great, and the bar staff looked after us brilliantly,” said Sarah Ball from Balls2 Marketing.
“The drinks flowed and, at around 10pm, the evening took an unexpected turn with Kirk Maxwell from Scotplas organising karaoke in the bar.
“It went down a storm and we were still singing as the bar closed at midnight, a full hour after the official closing time for PIGS. It was an absolute blast!”
Sunil Patel, from Unique Window Systems, travelled from Leicester with two colleagues to support the event and announced that the event was ‘the best yet’.
Colin Torley, from Saveheat and regular sponsor of Glasgow PIGS, said: “It was a great night at the second PIGS event in Glasgow. It was well attended and great to meet some old acquaintances and some great new contacts. Well worth going to and a big thank you to all involved.”
Sarah added: “We can’t do it without the characters in the industry and Scotland has those in abundance. To build on the success of the Glasgow event, we have asked all the Glasgow PIGS to bring a friend next year, a colleague, customer or supplier.
“If the second annual event is anything to go by, this is going to be a permanent fixture in the PIGS calendar for many years to come.”
