As part of the Glass and Glass Federation’s ongoing political campaigning, the federation has announced that it will have a presence at a number of upcoming party conferences, including the current Conservative conference at Manchester Central that ends tomorrow.
The next conference will be the Scottish National Party from 15-17 October at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, followed by Plaid Cymru at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre that takes place 23-24 October.
The GGF has also been represented at the Liberal Democrat Party conference held in Bournemouth 19-23 September and at the Labour Party conference in Brighton 27- 30 September.
Nigel Rees, GGF group chief executive, will be attending Business Day at the Conservative Party conference and has already booked for various meetings with relevant ministers and senior Conservatives. The GGF’s political advisers GK Strategy will be representing the dederation at the other party conferences.
Nigel Rees commented: “The conferences are good for networking, relaying our industry issues to key influencers and gleaning any new information that may affect the GGF campaigns and our members in the future.”
