Trade specialist GAP UK is set to open depots in Berkshire and Yorkshire later this year. The business’ representative said: “Although the Arctic Monkeys took the famous headliner spot at Reading and Leeds earlier this year, GAP is set to close out the year in both Berkshire and Yorkshire.”
The expansion follows the success of depot openings that took place earlier this year, including in Doncaster and Dundee. Just last week, the trade specialists opened a depot in central Leeds. Another depot is due to open in Reading in a few weeks’ time.
Simon Bird, joint managing director of GAP UK, said that he was delighted with what GAP has achieved over the last 12 months, as the business’ leaders look to open what will become its seventh new depot this year. He added: “We are happy to have opened our latest depot in Leeds whilst at the same time look towards opening our next in Reading, which will increase the availability of low-maintenance building products nationwide, in both new and existing locations.
“This is our second depot to open in Leeds. Because of it, we are now able to service another area of the city more easily, allowing our customers to access all their GAP favourites more conveniently. Reading is set to open as our seventh new depot this year, which we hope to open shortly.
“Not only have we seen success from our depot openings this year with the new digital format of the ‘HUB’ but we have also seen the launch of new and successful product ranges, such as our very own HomeFrame GRP composite doors, which, combined with our depot network expansion, has contributed to our continuing growth throughout the year. After an incredible amount of hard work behind the scenes at GAP this year, we are looking forward to another great year ahead of us.”
Leeds (Central) and Reading are the two latest depots to stock GAP’s range of products, including HomeLine building products such as fascia, soffits, window trims and cladding, Rockdoor composite doors, HomeView aluminium bi-folds, HomeFrame GRP composite doors and PVC-U windows.
