Organisers of this year’s G Awards (G23) have announced that the actor and comedian Omid Djalili is to host this year’s awards. The G23 Awards are due to take place on Friday 24 November at the London Hilton on Park Lane hotel.
“Intelligent, always provocative and entertaining, Omid’s legendary standup performance is a captivating comedy masterclass,” said a representative of the G23 Awards. “His credits range from Hollywood films to television and the West End stage.
“Earning praise across the world for his performances, Omid hosted his own ITV quiz show, The Winning Combination. He was also in the smash hit Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again, His Dark Materials for BBC1 and HBO, and Letter For The King on Netflix. Omid also gained rave reviews for his leading role of Tevye in the Chichester Festival Theatre production of Fiddler on the Roof.”
Tony Higgin, the G23 Awards’ event organiser, added: “After a thorough judging process of the huge number of high-quality entries, the companies and individuals that have been shortlisted this year reflect the innovation in the UK glass and glazing industry.
