Judges of this year’s G Awards (G23) have named Edgetech, which is a Quanex company, as a finalist in the Component Supplier of the Year category. The G23 Awards ceremony is to take place on 24 November 2023 at the London Hilton on Park Lane hotel.
“We’re thrilled to have been named G Award finalists,” said Chris Alderson, Edgetech’s managing director. “Since the 1980s, Edgetech has pioneered energy efficiency in the fenestration industry. In the last 12 months, we’ve continued to honour that legacy.
“By developing innovative new products, investing extensively in the infrastructure we need to keep offering our customers outstanding service, and supporting charitable causes across Britain, we’ve demonstrated why Edgetech remains at the forefront of our sector. Having these achievements recognised by the industry’s most respected awards event is incredibly rewarding. I wish the very best to all those who have been named finalists this year.”
Another representative of Edgetech continued: “First held in 2004, the G Awards spotlight the innovative and outstanding businesses that drive the sector forward. Over decades, Edgetech’s Super Spacer has brought improved thermal efficiency to millions of buildings around the world. Today, it is estimated that one third of British IGUs manufactured in the UK contains an Edgetech product.”
Earlier this year, the Edgetech team was recognised in two categories of the Quanex Awards. The team won the Safety and Stakeholder Emerald Award for its rigorous safety processes as well as for the conduct of its employees. In addition, Jason Blundred, Edgetech Coventry’s head of operations, was awarded the President’s Service Award in recognition of ‘decades of outstanding work’.
The awards presentation ceremony was held at Quanex’s HQ in Houston, Texas. Edgetech UK’s employees gathered on site to watch the Quanex Awards presentation ceremony, which was streamed from Texas. To find out more, read our full report here.
