Framexpress’ Internal Sales Coordinator, Alyson Westbrook (pictured above left), has joined the team set to climb Mount Kilimanjaro later this year, in aid of raising all important funds for charity.
The expedition, set to take place in September 2024, will see a team of glazing industry professionals take on the climb of their lives, and Alyson is joining the 10-day adventure to scale Kilimanjaro’s 5,895 metre height.
As well as raising money for Kelly’s Heroes – the charity that raises vital awareness and funds to provide support to those suffering from mental health illnesses – Alyson is also hoping to raise funds for Severn Hospice, the Shropshire-based charity providing free specialist care and support to those living with incurable illnesses.
Alyson talks about the upcoming trek, saying: “When Sarah Ball, from PiG’s, approached me about joining her and the team to climb Kilimanjaro, I couldn’t turn it down! It will definitely be one of the hardest things I have done, both physically and mentally, but I am more than ready for the challenge.
“Kelly’s Heroes and Severn Hospice are two charities that are very close to my heart, so they will be my driving force throughout this entire process, from training all the way to reaching the summit. I’ve had so many lovely messages and gestures of support from my Framexpress team, it’s made it all seem so real now – bring on September!” Alyson adds.
