This year’s Great Gatsby-themed Independent Network members’ weekend – held at the Queen’s Hotel, Leeds – is said to have been a great success.
The event started at the Affiliates Business Centre and was followed by the official AGM with presentations from Veka UK Group MD, Dave Jones; finance director, Graham Fitton; marketing director, Dawn Stockell; and sales director, Neil Evans.
New for 2019 was an interactive Q&A with members to share ideas and information. Next up was the awards evening and gala dinner, which this year was hosted by film and TV star, Warwick Davis.
The awards were based on customer satisfaction surveys from throughout the year, combined with value of sales, quantity and quality of projects completed, and also the achievements of members of staff.
The winners were as follows:
National Awards: Mews Windows; Mister Window Company; Eddisbury Construction Co; Rugby Double Glazing; Goliath Homeworld & Hallmark Windows (Harrogate); Heavers of Bridport; Frames Conservatories Direct.
The 100% customer satisfaction award went to Cowen Windows and sales representative of the year was won by Adam Hammill: BH Solutions t/a The Home Design Group. The fitter of the year award went to Nick Burtin-Legge: J & P Home Improvements.
Warwick Davis commented: “I’ve been really impressed with everything I’ve seen, and have enjoyed celebrating and being a part of the network for the evening!”
