Eurocell’s Technical Panel has shared some of its latest innovations it’s been testing as well as a new CPD.
Due to the popularity and trend towards larger size tilt and turn windows, Eurocell said it has fully type tested a Logik Tilt and Turn window at 1m wide by 2.1m high. Driven from the commercial sector for rapid ventilation in student accommodation properties, it noted, the window has a grille or louvre set up on the outside.
A full report is available on request for customers, should they get enquiries of this nature. The report includes PAS24, BS6375 and a cyclic test of 10,000 operations.
Eurocell stated that it has also improved fit and function of its VS run through horn detail. Those customers who buy pre-milled kits from Eurocell, will now see a “marked improvement” in the end cap fit. The improvement was gained by purchase on a new end miller and diamond cutters. The machine is also fully automatic.
These tests come from discussions among Eurocell’s Technical Panel, which meets every month to run through customer and market needs to drive product innovation and support. The panel is headed by Gary Driscoll, sales and commercial director.
The full panel includes: Ian Kernaghan, head of product, design and development, Sean Bunyan, head of extended living, Gary Doxey, commercial manager, and Martin Benn, head of new build.
According to a company statement, the panel follows a list of guiding principles to ensure the unrivalled wealth of technical knowledge shared across its members, brings tangible benefits to customers and the wider construction community in the form of new products, upgrades and best practice.
Gary Driscoll said: “Our technical panel brings together seasoned expertise in building, construction, fabrication, installation, recycling and compliance to ensure our customers and the market can benefit from that knowledge.
“The guiding principles of the panel ensure that we put the customer at the core of every decision we make and that we are thinking holistically from all perspectives to innovate. This is proven through our bold and ambitious testing and the CPDs we continue to bring to the industry.”
To support the industry navigating Building Regulations, Eurocell introduced a CPD called Elevating Design: Fenestration Solutions for Regulatory Compliance. This CPD lasts around an hour and is delivered via webinar.
