ERA Home Security, designer and manufacturer of locks, handles and hinges, has entered into partnership with UniKey, the developer and provider of smart lock technologies.
The announcement was made last week at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where ERA and UniKey revealed their first cooperative product, ERA TouchKey, a residential nightlatch, which will stand apart from other keyless lock products.
Built on the distinctive UniKey mobile platform, the ERA TouchKey smart lock will have UniKey’s Touch-to-Open passive, one-touch entry and enhanced security features including inside/outside technology that enables ERA TouchKey to know if a homeowner’s smartphone is inside or outside the home to eliminate the potential for unauthorised entry.
