Leaders of ERA have appointed Lara Coutinho as the company’s new sustainability programme manager.
Lara is to be responsible for the project management of ERA’s sustainability initiatives across the business, from operations through to packaging. She has more than 10 years’ experience in leading sustainability strategies.
For ERA, she is set to focus on the removal of priority hazardous substances as well as sourcing and reducing the company’s carbon footprint. This falls in line with the goals set by the leaders of ERA’s parent company, Tyman.
One of Lara’s first projects is to work on the ‘most pressing deadline’ set out on the Tyman sustainability roadmap, which promises to eliminate single-use plastic and deliver sustainable packaging across the group by 2026.
Having started her career as an environment and sustainability consultant, Lara has worked across a range of industries over the last decade including facilities management, biotechnology and events, including the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow.
