Expanding its Stellar aluminium system range, Epwin Window Systems has launched its new aluminium flush tilt and turn window. Designed for use in medium- and high-rise buildings, the new window has elegantly concealed gearing for a streamlined finish.
The multi-award-winning aluminium system aims to deliver a high-end aesthetic and meets the revisions to Part L of the building regulations. Its representative claim that the product offers “outstanding” thermal and weather performance, achieving a U-value of 1.4W/m² with a double-glazed unit and 0.98W/m² with triple glazing.
The Stellar flush tilt and turn window includes thermal break technology and triple air seals to increase weather tightness. A dramatic expanse of glass maximises both light and vistas to create a sophisticated space. The new Stellar window is available in a range of standard and non-standard RAL colours with a 25-year surface paint finish.
Reportedly offering a seamless and easy-to-operate transition, the new window’s tilt mode operation also allows for easy cleaning. As with all products in the Stellar portfolio, the tilt and turn window has patented knock-in beads for faster and easier installation. It also has pre-inserted gaskets which not only saves times on site but apparently eliminates gasket overstretch. It is internally glazed.
Phil Parry, Epwin’s business development director, said: “Stellar is the next generation in aluminium system design and continues to set new standards for the industry. Stellar’s high-end aesthetics, technical excellence and high-performing qualities are once again evident on the new flush tilt and turn window and further presents additional market opportunities for our customers across both refurbishment and new-build projects.”
