Solidor and DW3 Products Group CEO, Gareth Mobley, has picked up yet another business accolade; Entrepreneur of the Year for manufacturing in the North of England, in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards celebrate entrepreneurs from all industries across the UK, with previous winners including Holly Tucker MBE, founder of Notonthehighstreet.com.
This year, the awards have been supported by Social Enterprise UK, CBI and the Department for Business Innovation & Skills
Steve Varley, chairman and managing partner of EY in the UK and Ireland, said: “EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year programme is not only a celebration of entrepreneurship, but also builds networks which span the world. It’s not only about winning an award; it’s about growing networks, making contacts and leveraging knowledge.”
Gareth Mobley has won Entrepreneur of the Year for a record three times in the Sentinel Business Awards for North Staffordshire and South Cheshire and led Solidor to Business of the Year in the same business awards twice. The company also scooped G13 Promotional Campaign of the Year – Retail. Now Gareth’s remit is to build DW3 Products Group into one of the most ‘powerful, influential and innovative groups in the home improvement sector’.
Gareth commented: “I was thrilled to be nominated as a finalist against such strong competition from all sectors of the economy. This award is a true reflection of all the hard work carried out by our staff, the commitment of our customers and overwhelming support from our partners.
“The future for me is to now realise the considerable potential of DW3 Products Group and to help shape the future direction of our industry and others that we touch.”
