The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has announced that its traditional members’ day annual conference will now be a new online event – members’ week – to be held on 29-30 September and 1 October, via video conference.
GGF members’ day, incorporating the annual general meeting, was originally scheduled for Manchester on 30 September. However, due to COVID-19 pandemic and the risk to health and safety, the event in its traditional physical format has been replaced with a new digital format.
The three day event will include 12 guest speakers/expert panellists and nine presentations/webinars and online forums covering: the economic overview, political landscape, health and safety, technical, marketing, training and the environment.
John Agnew, GGF managing director, commented: “The current situation around COVID-19 has forced us into this decision but looking at the webinars, members’ week promises to be a unique experience, combining presentations from expert speakers and new technology. This kind of event has never been hosted by a trade body in our industry before and I am looking forward to an exciting week in September.”
For members’ week, the GGF has speakers lined up from the world of economics, politics, marketing, health and safety, technical and the environment. With the event running over three days, members can pick and choose which webinars to join for the most useful information, tips and expert knowledge to benefit their business.
