Leaders of Deceuninck and VBH dodged the rain to successfully host 80 customers at the firms’ annual golf day in Wiltshire. The event took place at Bowood PGA in July, and a group from Hanley Trade Frames won the team prize.
Golfers were also treated to an early evening trick shot performance by Dean Davis, a professional golfer who had previously set up extra challenges on the second tee. The challenges included high tee-shots and bouncy ball antics.
“The weather may not have been quite so kind to us as in previous years but everyone came off the course at the end of the day having had a great day of golf,” said Rob McGlennon, Deceuninck’s managing director.
“The Deceuninck VBH golf day is now a well-established date in the industry’s social calendar, and we are proud to invite old friends and welcome new faces. The team at Bowood always put on a fantastic day for us, and we all enjoyed a fantastic meal and a chance to network in the evening.”
With a total of 91 points, Steve Thomas, Harry Thomas, Dan Thomas and Ryan Aitkin from Hanley Trade Frames won the team event, with Remi Cake from Window Warehouse winning the individual prize with 41 points.
Richard Lee from GAP won the Nearest the Pin competition on the 12th, while Rick Reed from BDC Aluminium won the Longest Drive on the 3rd. Tony Buttery from Flair Windows had a mixed day, winning the wooden spoon but coming closest to the pin in the Trick Shot Challenge on the 2nd.
“Congratulations to all the winners,” Rob said. “Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to doing it all over again next year.”
