Leaders of Debar have announced two management changes that are expected to help strengthen and expand its operations, according to representatives of the UK-based bi-fold door manufacturer. Jim Lomax was appointed to sales and marketing director, and Neil Tordoff has received an internal promotion from new business account executive to technical sales manager for the south west.
Jim brings 30 years’ experience from within the complex electronics and software industry. As sales and marketing director, he is to be responsible for raising Debar’s profile in both home and international markets while also ensuring that training and knowledge across sales and marketing is of the highest quality, Debar’s reps have said.
Neil is expected to cultivate the south west customer base by fostering relationships and delivering exceptional customer service as well as staying ahead of industry trends to support both the company and its clients, the company’s representatives reported. Neil is also set be make sure that all customer needs are met and that their knowledge is developed so that they can successfully engage with new and existing bi-fold products.
“We’re pleased to welcome the addition of Jim to the team at Debar, and we’d like to congratulate Neil on his promotion,” said Peter Sutcliffe, Debar’s managing director.
“Both are outstanding team players and will enhance our existing reputation for being a forward-thinking company which combines excellent technical know-how with a firm commitment to customer service.”
Earlier this year, Debar’s leaders promoted two other key members of staff at its headquarters in Bradford. Andrew Fawthrop, a longstanding team member and one of Debar’s first employees, was promoted to UK national sales manager, and Tim Shaw, a former technical sales manager, was recruited as the firm’s international sales manager.
