Customade Group has announced the appointment of Will Gold as its new chief executive officer. Will was previously managing director at the Customade subsidiary Stevenswood, where he spent five years. Under Will’s stewardship, Stevenswood showed steady growth, its representatives said, and the business is now operating 29 trade counters across the country, from Inverness to Hampshire.
Will said: “It’s a privilege to get the chance to lead the wonderful team of people we have in the Customade Group. We want to be recognised as being the best at what we do.
“Our laser sharp focus on improving service levels to our customers has ensured that the group has come a long way in our quest to become the leading service provider in the industry. We are rightly proud of the progress we have made so far but through further innovation and improvements we will continue to strive to improve performance for the benefit of our customers, colleagues and stakeholders.”
Will takes over from Nick Roberts as part of a planned succession. Nick led the business in recent months as interim CEO, and has committed to supporting the group as chief financial officer. Nick is working alongside Will to ensure a smooth transition.
Founded in 1980, Customade employs 900 people across the UK. Brands that are part of the Customade Group include Fineline, Atlas, Real Aluminium, Stevenswood, Polyframe and Virtuoso Doors.
