Synseal has announced that its recently launched WarmCore inline patio door has successfully been tested to meet PAS 24:2016 standards, making the whole suite of WarmCore products PAS 24 compliant and capable of meeting the requirements of the Secured by Design security scheme.
Phil Parry, head of R&D at Synseal Group, said: “We put the new WarmCore patio door through PAS 24 testing as soon as possible, as we have already received a lot of interest in the doors being used for both retrofit and new build applications where demand for Secured by Design products is high.
“As with all our WarmCore products, we designed the inline patio door with these security standards in mind and worked closely with ILH to develop a bespoke bi-directional locking system unique to us, which is secure to PAS 24 standards when locked not only internally but externally too, unlike many competitor products.
“There are a lot of applications where a patio door may rely on external locking, for example in outbuildings like garden rooms and annexes – especially as more homeowners are looking to expand and add value to their properties. This is a specification consideration which is often overlooked, and we believe we have the only patio door which offers this guarantee with standard hardware, giving our customers a unique selling point against their competitors.”
The WarmCore inline patio door has been tested to meet PAS 24:2016 requirements as standard, so there is no need for plunge bolts or additional hardware. Available in two, three and four pane configurations, the inline slider is also now available in sizes up to 6m wide and 2.4m high.
