Caribbean Blinds is showing its support for a global shading awareness day for the second year in a row.
Organised by the European Solar Shading Organisation (ES-SO), Global Shading Day is an awareness-raising day dedicated to highlight how shading can improve a building’s sustainability and energy efficiency.
As a manufacturer supplying a range of external shading solutions, Caribbean Blinds stated that it strongly supports this initiative and actively publicises the benefits of shading including how it can effectively reduce energy, save money and cut emissions.
Stuart Dantzic, managing director of Caribbean Blinds, said: “As a business, we’re incredibly passionate about external shading and the many benefits it brings. Backing this initiative is a no brainer to us as we are always looking at ways to share our knowledge of external shading.
“Ultimately by creating a physical barrier between the sun’s energy and glazing, external shading is the most effective way to prevent unwanted solar heat gain, eliminate excessive solar heat gain and stop indoor temperatures soaring and properties overheating.
